Francess Day Counsellor/Trainer BA Behavioural Studies Health Education AIPC. AIMM. TSRA. ASTSS.
Francess Day has diverse experience in Designing, Developing and Facilitating Training programs to teach people to Deal with Violence, Aggression and Traumatic Stress.
She is writing a plain English book about Traumatic Stress based on extensive research, personal and work experiences.
In July 1997, she presented a paper and poster about the process of seven trauma recovery groups at the European Conference on Traumatic Stress.
She has trained over 1500 security personnel in the last 4 years to manage violent/aggressive persons and incidents.
Francess has worked in various occupations including training & development, counselling agencies, management, youth work, aged care and community based work with people with disabilities, manufacturing, agriculture (also international), and private work with PTSD and Stress claims for Worker’s Compensation Investigators.
Francess graduated from Edith Cowan University in 1989 majoring in Behavioural Studies with a HealthEducation/Addiction Studies minor. Other studies and training undertaken include Physiotherapy, Sociology, Counselling and Rehabilitation Counselling, Recognition of Prior Learning/Workplace Assessor. In 1997, she established and continues to run her Registered Training Organisation providing training and assessment for the public and Vocational Education and Training sectors.
